Our multi-disciplined finance teams support and improve business performance while maintaining effective and robust control. We have teams working within our retail divisions; reviewing financial performance, identifying trends, spotting opportunities and supporting business planning and decision making. In our Central Finance Team, business performance is recorded, reported and analyzed on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Finance staff also play an active role in the review and enhancement of business processes and technology usage.

Role Profile

Undertake responsibilities appropriate to your experience level across activities such as Sales, Cash Collection, Credit Collection, General Ledger, Purchasing, Banking, Loan Accounts, Payroll, Inventory, and the Cashier’s Office to ensure the integrity and correctness of all financial data and transactions. Support financial reporting and liaise with internal and external auditors to clarify audit issues. Contribute to work process simplification and system enhancement initiatives to boost team efficiency. Support critical closing procedures to ensure timeliness.

The key performance areas include but are not limited to:

• Authenticating transactions and ensuring correct application of company policies for cash deposits, sales credit cards, gift vouchers, reconciliation, Control Accounts, Purchase Orders, Suppliers invoices, Credit Notes, cost prices, received services/goods, financial authority/approvals, Contracts/Agreements/Rental Agreements, cheque preparation, cash collections and deposits, commissions, interest, Letters of Credit (LC), bank charges, bank Guarantees, loan repayments, foreign supplier payments, electronic funds transfer, monitoring bank accounts, bank transactions, and standing instructions, as well as payroll.
• Ensuring supporting documentation is sufficient and compliant with authority levels and company policies. Classifying and coding transactions according to the Chart of Accounts and standards.
• Querying any unclear cost allocations.
• Supporting process simplification and system enhancement initiatives, ensuring effective communication of changes.
• Assisting in monthly closing activities, adhering to guidelines and deadlines, reconciling accounts and assets, and generating reports for accuracy and completeness. Collaborating with auditors as needed.
