Job summary

Confidential, located in Wafra, Kuwait, seeks a Senior Accountant to take full ownership of the company’s accounting function and work directly with the CEO. You will independently manage the accounts, resolve control issues, and provide reliable financial information to support growth.

Key duties include full cycle accounting, monthly/year-end closes, IFRS compliance, and coordination with auditors and authorities. Strong ERP experience, especially Odoo, is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IFRS and internal controls.
• Excellent Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Ability to manage full accounting cycle and month/year-end closes.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage the full accounting cycle and day-to-day finance activities.
• Prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and monthly management accounts.
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and government authorities.
• Ensure inventory costing, manufacturing accounting and ERP data accuracy.

A growing company operating in the agriculture and food production sector is seeking a strong, , and hands-on Senior Accountant to take full ownership of the company's accounting function and work directly with the CEO.

We are looking for Senior Accountant who can independently manage the accounts, identify and resolve control issues, provide management with reliable financial information, and help build a strong finance function as the business grows.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Minimum 7 to 10 years of solid accounting experience, preferably including experience in Kuwait.
• Independently manage the company's full accounting cycle and day-to-day finance activities.
• Strong ERP experience, with Odoo Accounting/Finance strongly preferred, including setup, implementation, configuration, and daily control.
• Independently perform monthly and year-end closing.
• Prepare accurate P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statements, and monthly management accounts.
• Full control of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, accruals, and provisions.
• Perform and supervise bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, costing, COGS, and production/manufacturing accounting.
• Develop and monitor budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Manage payroll accounting and salary portal requirements.
• Handle supplier payments, banking transactions, and financial controls.
• Coordinate directly with external auditors, banks, and relevant government authorities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and maintain appropriate internal financial controls.
• Work closely with operations and management to ensure accurate ERP data, inventory records, costing, and financial reporting.
• Identify accounting, reconciliation, ERP, and control issues and resolve them independently.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and financial analysis skills.
• Ability to establish procedures, controls, and reporting structures suitable for a growing company.
• Experience in manufacturing, food production, agriculture, FMCG, or another inventory/production-based business is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience dealing with Kuwait Cooperative Societies, including collections and reconciliations, would be an advantage.
