Job Title: Whole School SENCO

A well-established British International School in Kuwait is seeking a qualified and experienced Whole School SENCO to join their team in August 2026. This leadership role involves overseeing the provision for students with special educational needs across both primary and secondary levels, ensuring inclusive practices and effective support systems throughout the school. Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision across all key stages
  • Support and guide teachers in developing inclusive classroom strategies and differentiated instruction
  • Coordinate individual education plans (IEPs) and track student progress
  • Liaise with parents, external specialists, and school leadership to ensure student support is holistic and effective
  • Ensure compliance with British curriculum and inclusion standards
  • Conduct training for staff on SEN best practices and interventions
Requirements
  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, PGDE, B.Ed)
  • Postgraduate qualification in Special Education or a related field
  • Experience as a SENCO or in a similar inclusion leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum and inclusive education practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
