Responsibilities
Sales Process
- Actively pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, client visits, networking, and referrals
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable truck models and solutions
- Research market, related products & client base to find new types of customers
- Schedule outdoor appointments & meetings to present the product in structured professional communication.
- Work closely with customers to understand the needs of his business, assist in selecting a Trucks product
- Analyze competition and create a plan for engaging in the targeted deal
- Explain vehicle performance, product details, features and benefits according to Trucks sales process
- Offer and assist customers in test drive according to Trucks sales process, demonstrates products and services.
- Prepare specifications for the non-stock / special truck, including all customer and local traffic requirements.
- Prepare DMS related documentation to customer detailed quotation to be submitted with full specs and terms.
- Collect accurate and complete financial data on customers when necessary.
- Negotiate on price, costs, payment methods, delivery and specifications with customer and managers.
- Liaise with suppliers /body builder to check the progress of existing orders & ensure delivery on time.
- Promote and up sell Trucks products (e.g. Extended Warranty, Fleet board...) and Services (e.g. Service-Contracts)
- Provide daily & monthly reports (e.g. customer visit) as requested by management.
- Handle customer complaints tactfully, promptly and with genuine concern
- Implement customer lifecycle follow-up measures to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Maintain a prospect development system and participate in local business networking activities.
- Facilitate prompt update of customer database and records with sales information
Administrative Process
- Prepare suitable specifications for new or special trucks by Daimler system.
- Prepare order confirmation in DMS
- Handle required documentation and LPOs
- Follow-up on payments.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
Experience
- Years of Experience: 2 - 3 Years
- Field of Experience : Outdoor Sales
Skills
- Proven experience in B2B or commercial vehicle sales, preferably trucks or heavy vehicles.
- Strong understanding of truck specifications and industry applications is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory & sites.
- Bilingual with strong command of both English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Good Knowledge of DMS preferably
- Solid knowledge of the local market areas
- Profound knowledge of the commercial’s product range & competitors’ products
