Job Title: Safety Engineer
Reports to: Lead Safety Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Observe Contractor's proposed methods to ensure safety to the workforce, public and other third parties.
- Monitor the site safety arrangements of the Contractor, ensuring that all workers are in compliance with the safety rules and guidelines.
- Assess the method statements submitted by the Contractor for safe systems of work; review Contractor’s QHSE manual at the start of the project.
- Issue safety violation instruction to the Contractor on any breach of safety.
- Inspect buildings and machines for hazards and safety violations.
- Recommend safety features in new processes and products.
- Report to the Resident Engineer for all safety and accident related issues for action.
- Conduct safety training and special meetings/seminars for employees to be aware of the different practices in the workplace.
- Develop comprehensive safety programs at the office and site.
Candidate Profile
- Requirement opens to all nationals based in Kuwait.
- 15 years’ experience in a relevant field.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and Member of Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE).
- Relevant safety certification in safety such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OHSAS, etc.
