Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management, with a strong commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and contractors.

Job Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and guidelines on-site.

Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

Investigate and report all incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence.

Provide HSE induction and ongoing HSE trainings to employees, contractors, and visitors to ensure awareness and adherence to safety protocols.

Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure all personnel are aware of their roles during emergencies.

Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incident reports, training, and safety meetings.

Participate actively in HSE meetings, providing status reports, data analysis, and suggestions for continuous improvement.

Participate in and contribute to HSE meetings, providing insights and updates on safety performance.

Monitor and ensure adherence to environmental management practices, including waste disposal and pollution control.

Strong communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills to effectively deliver training and liaise with stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree relevant discipline (Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within telecom, oil & gas sectors/ K-Companies.
  • Mandatory certifications (e.g., NEBOSH-IGC, IOSH)
  • Solid understanding of local Kuwait HSE standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
