Job Description:

• Ensure compliance with relevant radiation safety regulations and protocols.
• Operate and maintain radiation-generating equipment, such as X-ray machines or gamma-ray sources.
• Implement radiation protection measures to minimize exposure for themselves and others.
• Monitor and record radiation levels during inspections.
• Select appropriate NDT techniques and equipment based on inspection requirements.
• Position and align radiation sources and detectors to obtain desired images or data.
• Interpret radiographic images or data to identify defects, flaws, or anomalies in inspected materials or components.
• Document inspection findings and prepare reports for clients or stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of NDT results by following established procedures and standards.
• Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment.
• Participate in ongoing training and certification programs to stay current with NDT techniques and technologies.
• Collaborate with other NDT professionals to coordinate inspection processes.
• Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to understand requirements and provide clear reports.

Qualifications:

• Certification in radiographic testing (RT) from a recognized organization, such as the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT) or equivalent.
• Certification may require passing written and practical exams to demonstrate competence.
• Maintain certification through ongoing training, education, and recertification as required.
