- Ensure every project requirement is strictly followed by the shop.
- Prepare job ITP / QP as directed by the supervisor.
- Establish new procedures and methods where needed and obtain approval.
- Suggest or develop new and better fixtures.
- Guide and train QC Inspectors and cross-check their outputs to ensure QC meets ITP / QP requirements.
- Perform inspections as needed or directed by the supervisor, including subcontracted work.
- Lead the inspection team when required.
- Ensure quality products are shipped out.
- Ensure fabrication, welding, NDT & painting activities comply with respective codes.
Job Responsibilities
Network: PMG, Production, Shipping
- Liaise with the Shop Foreman, supervisor, and workers of production areas for all quality matters.
- Clarify drawings, details, and revisions from Engineering Departments as needed.
- Follow-up with Warehouse, Shipping & Production Departments for closing NCRs.
- Ensure all employees understand departmental objectives and work productively.
- Assist in initiating disciplinary actions to ensure workplace safety and proper conduct.
Decision-Making Authority:
- Decide at various inspection stages on acceptance or rejection of materials.
- Monitor and control subcontractors' coating jobs and supervise coating activities and inspectors.
- Conduct receipt, in-process, and final inspections of manufacturing processes.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Report daily to QC Manager on all inspection activities.
- Prepare inspection documents for special jobs.
- Coordinate with customer technical representatives (TPI) and understand their minimum requirements.
Candidate Requirements
Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge: 5 years in similar industries with certifications such as AWS/CSWIP, NACE/BGAS, or NDT Level-II.
Minimum Entry Qualifications: Diploma or Engineer in Mechanical or related disciplines, or BSc in Chemistry.
