DLA Careers seeks a knowledgeable professional to manage reverse logistics and disposal activities for overseas locations. The role requires coordinating with military commands and customers to ensure compliant, efficient material disposition that recaptures value where possible.

The position emphasizes guidance on disposal policies, collaboration with stakeholders, and demonstrations of new disposal methods and operational processes to improve efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience in disposing of property via reutilization, transfer, donation, sales, abandonment, and/or destruction or removal via service contract.
• Monitoring supplies/services to ensure that customer support goals are met and identifying areas for improvement.
• Analyzing business-based performance measures and developing new solutions to enhance services.

Responsibilities

• Implements reverse logistics solutions and plans efficient, cost-effective flow of spare materials from excess to disposition.
• Advises and guides agencies and/or holding activities on disposal policy interpretation and use.
• Collaborates with customers to determine short- and long-term requirements and refine those needs.
• Evaluates actions to accommodate constraints of various Military Commands or customers.
• Prepares or demonstrates capabilities of newly automated disposal methods and processes.
