Job summary

National Bank of Kuwait is seeking an experienced Project Manager to ensure the completeness of tender documentation, develop and review plans, monitor costs and schedules, and ensure compliance with NBK standards across projects.

You will lead governance meetings, assess change orders, manage risk and internal controls, document lessons learned, and coordinate with risk and security teams to align with NBK's governance framework.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of project management experience in a corporate setting.
• PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential is required.
• Knowledge of project governance frameworks and risk management processes.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex schedules.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completeness of tender documentation and adherence to company standards.
• Develop, review, and manage project plans, cost estimates, tenders, and change orders.
• Monitor progress schedules, job costs, and revise plans accordingly.
• Conduct governance meetings and ensure compliance with group policies.
• Assess change orders and provide justification for approvals.
• Mitigate project risk through internal controls and security measures.
• Document closure reports and lessons learned.
• Align with risk and security teams to mitigate project risks.
• Coordinate issue resolution across NBK and partner countries.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ensure the completeness of the project tender documentations and contractors adherence to NBK’s standards.
• Perform project plan development, review, quantity surveying and bills of quantities to accurately prepare and generate details, budgets, estimates, tenders, change orders and payment requisitions.
• Develop, monitor, and or update the progress schedule, job costs, and their periodic revisions to communicate progress.
• Conduct project coordination meetings, administration, quality and documents controls to ensure compliance with the group project governance.
• Identify and examine change orders to determine their impacts on the project and forward recommendations/comments regarding justifications for approval.
• Assess, implement, and maintain appropriate internal controls to mitigate project risk, in particular security and confidentiality risks.
• Document project closure report and lessons learned.
• Creates awareness during deployment of the need for compliance to group change Governance framework to create a strong culture of process adherence.
• Effectively apply the group project management governance and standards.
• Analyzes project deliverables against initial scope of work.
• Progress and align with NBK group Risk and Security to ensure projects risks are mitigated.
• Project Issues Management and supporting countries different arising issues from projects.

Educational Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum 8 years.
• PMP Certification.
