Mindrift is seeking a Physics Expert with Python to design and validate computational physics problems for AI trainer projects. This freelance role focuses on creating challenging, Python-based tasks that require real physics workflows and can run across international collaborations.

The ideal candidate has a physics degree, strong Python skills, and experience with numerical simulations. Projects are part-time and non-permanent, with flexible weekly hours and compensation up to $35 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental or Computational) or related fields.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in applied, research, or teaching roles.
  • Proficient in Python for numerical validation and simulations.
  • Experience with numerical simulation methods is required.
  • Strong written English (C1+).

Responsibilities

  • Design original computational physics problems that simulate real research workflows.
  • Create Python-based problems requiring Numpy/SciPy/SymPy for solutions.
  • Ensure problems are computationally intensive and non-trivial to solve manually.
  • Develop problems spanning mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics.
  • Verify solutions using Python with standard physics libraries.
  • Document problem statements clearly and provide verified correct answers.
