Job description

Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

Under supervision of the Production Control Lead, the Production Control Clerk serves as the centralized focal point for work order processing for all customer-related equipment. Classifies work orders using the current Army AIS (GCSS-Army) as the primary means of obtaining parts/materials to support maintenance operations. Processes all work order requests, including dispatches, emergency work orders, recoveries, and related tasks. Opens and closes work orders, ensuring appropriate man-hours and parts are captured. Processes all work requests promptly to maintain high customer service standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitors production for compliance with scheduling directives, cost factors, and standards.
  • Collects and analyzes data necessary for resource management.
  • Monitors maintenance tasks and man-hour accountability; advises on workload status and scheduling effectiveness; proposes corrective actions for workload imbalances.
  • May prepare and present briefs on maintenance activities.
  • Trains users on relevant topics.
  • Maintains the Production Schedule to reflect due dates, material release requirements, fabrication, inspections, and shipping, as well as actual completion dates (e.g., opening/closing jobs, ordering parts, tracking parts, entering man-hours).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum education/certifications: High School Diploma; one-year related experience may substitute for one year of education.
  • Must be CAC eligible or able to obtain a CAC.
  • GCSS-A certification is desired; if not certified, must complete training within 90 days.
  • Must have a valid US Passport.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Experience with military or civilian automated information systems preferred, especially GCSS-Army.
  • Skills include familiarity with office procedures, property accountability policies, attention to detail, proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, organizational skills, communication, judgment, data analysis, cultural sensitivity, and strategic thinking.
  • Working conditions include extreme weather, indoor/outdoor environments, and industrial conditions.
  • Physical requirements include medium work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and potential exposure to hazardous agents with PPE use mandated.
