Role overview
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring the highest quality and timely delivery of ingredients, packaging, equipment, and services. The ideal candidate will focus on increasing productivity by implementing smart sourcing solutions and agile services to reduce manual work.

The candidate should possess excellent analytical, leadership, and technical skills related to food equipment and ingredients. They should be capable of identifying profitable offers, evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts, and preparing reports. Familiarity with supply management principles and practices is essential. The goal is to ensure smooth operations across various channels, achieving maximum efficiency with outstanding service, optimal costs, and inventory levels.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and procurement activities for capital equipment, services, food ingredients, and packaging within assigned categories and locations.
• Collaborate with project teams to establish requirements and execute the full sourcing process aligned with technical project scopes.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for food and non-food items.
• Coordinate with Operations, Automation, and Maintenance teams to facilitate quick procurement decisions for assets and equipment.
• Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and enhance effectiveness.
• Communicate with stakeholders across supply chain, engineering, finance, and kitchen teams to ensure clear requirements and documentation.
• Forecast market trends and prices to anticipate shifts in buyer-supplier dynamics.
• Perform cost analysis, scenario planning, and benchmarking.
• Partner with reliable vendors and suppliers for kitchen equipment and services.
• Monitor demand levels and coordinate delivery timings accordingly.

Ideal Candidate

• Focuses on boosting productivity through smart equipment to minimize manual work.
• Has at least 3 years of proven experience as a purchasing officer or similar role.
• Knowledge of Kuwait’s inbound logistics cycle, including customs clearance and clearing agents.
• Familiar with sourcing and vendor management.
