A leading company in Kuwait is seeking a Junior Planning Engineer to assist in project scheduling using the Critical Path Method (CPM). This role involves close coordination with the project team, updating schedules, and preparing reports to ensure successful project execution. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and 1–3 years of relevant experience, with familiarity with Primavera P6 being a plus.
The Junior Planning Engineer will assist in the preparation, updating, and monitoring of project schedules using the Critical Path Method (CPM). The role involves working closely with the project team to gather accurate inputs and support senior planners and project managers in tracking progress and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and updating project schedules (CPM) using Primavera P6 or other planning software.
Coordinate with Project Managers to collect data, timelines, and sequencing details.
Support in analyzing the project scope, identifying milestones, and establishing activity relationships.
Monitor project progress and update schedules regularly based on site feedback.
Prepare and maintain weekly progress reports and tracking logs.
Highlight delays, deviations, and critical issues to the planning or project team.
Support in preparing time impact analysis and extension of time (EOT) documents as needed.
Attend internal coordination meetings and take notes related to scheduling matters.
Assist in preparing charts, S-curves, and other visual planning tools.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
1–3 years of experience, preferably with a main contractor.
Basic knowledge of Primavera P6 (training or certification is a plus).
Good understanding of construction processes and site coordination.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and MS Project).
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn and grow under supervision.
