The Planning & Cost Control Engineer (Civil) is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, and cost control activities in civil engineering projects. This role involves developing and monitoring project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring that the project is completed within the defined time frame and budget. The Planning & Cost Control Engineer also analyzes project costs, prepares financial reports, and provides recommendations to optimize resource utilization and cost efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
Monitor and track project progress, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
Control project costs by forecasting, tracking, and reporting on expenditures.
Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for civil engineering projects.
Analyze project cost variances and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on budget.
Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment between project schedules, costs, and resources.
Provide regular updates to project management on planning and cost control metrics.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
3-5 years of experience in project planning, cost control, or project management, preferably in civil engineering projects.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and cost control tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of construction industry standards, cost estimation, and budgeting practices.
