pediatric Registrar

POSITION SUMMARY:

Plans, directs, administers and supervises activities for pediatric patients. Reports to the Medical Director on matters relating to the operation of the patient care division.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Ensure implementation of the Ministry of Health regulations, the Company Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations and the Pediatric Department Policy and Guidelines.
2. Diagnosis and treatment of patients referred to pediatric department.
3. Run his/her own clinic.
4. Help in professional development of all staff.
5. Ensure safety of patients and staff.
6. Lead the resuscitation process during CODE BLUE pediatric cases while on call.
7. Set up with cooperation from the Head Nurse, a triage system that suits the local community without jeopardizing the private nature of the service.
8. Responsible for directing, planning, managing, and coordinating operations for the patient care activities.
9. Responsible for maintaining a working environment that promotes high standards for patient care, customer service, and ethical behavior.
10. Participates regularly with other pediatric staff, in decision-making related to patient care.
11. Participates in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care needs.
12. Attends regularly scheduled meetings for the improvement of patient care services and delivery.

Skills:

Minimum Education: M.B.B.S/M.D./M.S /Fellowship/Membership

Minimum Experience: 5 years’ experience with minimum 2 years post Fellowship/Membership experience.

Required Course(s)/Training: BLS trained preferred
