Overview

Part-Time Faculty, Electrical Engineering – American International University, Kuwait City. Immediate Start.

American International University (AIU) is seeking dynamic and engaged part-time faculty to support its School of Engineering and Computing. We invite individuals who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students, creating successful learning environments, and collaborating with colleagues across disciplines.

AIU is looking to appoint part-time faculty in the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) program, with immediate start. The ideal candidate is an innovative professional who brings current industry knowledge and technologies into the classroom to deliver relevant and engaging experiences.

Successful candidates will be expected to teach courses in one or more of the following areas:

Responsibilities
  • Controls, Power Systems, Renewable Energy
  • Communications, Digital Signal Processing, Electromagnetics
  • Cyber-physical Systems, Internet of Things, Robotics, Microcomputers, Advanced Digital Design

as well as other undergraduate courses such as Electrical Circuits, Electronics, and Digital Design. Candidates should also demonstrate the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (PhD preferred)
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching within the Electrical and Computer Engineering curriculum
  • Practical communication skills in English
  • Interest and experience working effectively with a diverse university community
Experience
  • University-level teaching experience (preferred)
  • Professional practice or applied experience in the Electrical Engineering field (preferred)
