Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience operating overhead cranes preferred.
• Knowledgeable in safety standards related to crane operations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical diagrams and specifications.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate the crane according to established safety guidelines.
• Control crane movements from the operator’s cab or ground controls.
• Move levers, depress pedals, or turn dials to activate crane functions such as hoisting, swinging, and traversing.
• Inspect cranes before each use for safety and proper functioning.
• Use hand signals or radio transmissions to communicate with coworkers.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities.
