Job summary

Consyst is seeking a Control System Engineer to join its Site Services team for projects across Kuwait, Oman, and the GCC. The role covers on-site commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLC, SCADA, and HMI-based control systems across Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider Electric platforms, along with networking and virtualization.

You will work directly at customer sites, supporting FAT/SAT activities, AMC engagements, and preparing the site documentation that keeps projects and service

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with on-site commissioning and maintenance of automation/control systems.
• Ability to work across Rockwell, Siemens, and Schneider Electric platforms.
• Proficiency in configuring PLC/SCADA/HMI and associated networking.
• Experience with virtualization, NAS storage, and remote desktop environments.
• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus/Profinet, MQTT).
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and loop drawings; strong field instrumentation exposure.
• Compliance with safety standards (PTW, safe work practices).
• Team coordination and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Commission on-site automation systems (PLC/SCADA/HMI) per project specs.
• Oversee on-site activities: panel installation, cable laying, terminations, equipment setup.
• Perform I/O wiring verification and loop checks between PLCs and devices.
• Configure and validate PLC/HMI/SCADA programs per project specs.
• Execute interlock testing and logic validation per FDS.
• Configure and test communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus/Profinet, MQTT).
• Configure/maintain virtualization environments and network infrastructure for control systems.
• Prepare site documentation: pre-commissioning checklists and commissioning plans.
