A leading maritime support company in Kuwait is seeking a skilled Motorman / Oiler (Able Seaman Engine) to assist in engine room operations and ensure safe vessel operations. The role requires a minimum of 1 year of offshore experience and specific marine certificates. Candidates must demonstrate strong teamwork and a commitment to safety. This position offers the chance to work in challenging offshore conditions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience on offshore support vessels.
  • Basic knowledge of marine engines and deck machinery operations.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in challenging offshore conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the engineering team in maintaining and operating propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and deck machinery.
  • Support rigging, slinging, and crane operations safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by senior engineering staff.
  • Maintain engine room cleanliness and operational readiness of machinery.
  • Participate in drills, emergency response exercises, and HSSE programs.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies during all vessel operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and operational tasks.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Motorman / Oiler (Able Seaman Engine) to join our client's offshore support vessel crew. The successful candidate will assist in engine room operations, maintain machinery, support rigging and deck operations, and ensure safe and efficient vessel operations in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the engineering team in maintaining and operating propulsion, auxiliary machinery, and deck machinery.
  • Support rigging, slinging, and crane operations safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by senior engineering staff.
  • Maintain engine room cleanliness and operational readiness of machinery.
  • Participate in drills, emergency response exercises, and HSSE programs.
  • Follow safety procedures and company policies during all vessel operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and operational tasks.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience on offshore support vessels.
  • Must have the below listed certificates:
    • STCW III/5 Certificate Able Seaman Engine.
    • Valid H2S/BA certificate.
    • Valid HUET (OPITO Approved) certification.
    • Valid STCW certificates (Firefighting, First Aid, and Sea Survival).
    • T-BOSIET (Tropical Basic Safety Induction Emergency Training OPITO Approved).
    • Valid Offshore Medical Fitness Card.
    • Approved Riggers Certificates.
    • Certificates in Rigging & Slinging and Crane Operations.
  • Basic knowledge of marine engines and deck machinery operations.
  • Ability to work safely at heights and in challenging offshore conditions.
