The Mechanical Engineer position is a critical role within our General Engineering Consultancy, requiring a minimum of 10 years of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering principles and practices, with a proven track record in managing complex engineering projects in the oil and gas, construction, or related industries. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze mechanical systems and components for various engineering projects.
- Oversee the procurement process for mechanical equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into overall project plans.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential issues and propose solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and manuals for mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Participate in site inspections and project meetings to monitor progress and address any engineering challenges.
