Job description

Purpose:

Provides Movement Transportation Control Support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provides movement control support for surface, air, and vessel movement of cargo through the U.S. Military Transportation System.
  • Leads subordinates on daily operations.
  • Identifies and troubleshoots problem areas in movement and recommends solutions to management. Works closely with customers to ensure movement objectives, priorities, and schedules are met and communicated.
  • Prepares, compiles, and submits reports on work activities, operations, and production.
  • Confers with customers, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and resolve problems.
  • May perform seaport, airport, A/DACG, HTD, HAZMAT, and other movement control support functions.
  • Operates Transportation Coordinators Automated Information for Movement System (TC-AIMS) and Integrated Computerized Deployment System (ICODES) Air Load Planning module.
  • Builds Unit Line Number Responsible for operating TIPS Write Software to write RFID tags for equipment movement.
  • Submits ULN packets to JOPES.
  • Receives, validates, and processes all Transportation Movement Requests (TMR) and Air Movement Requests (AMR).
  • Coordinates between MCT functions to ensure support is efficient, timely, and cost-effective.
  • Performs other duties as required.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
  • 3 years of Movement Transportation Control and Coordination experience required.
  • Load Planner experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with TC-AIMS, TIPS WRITE, and ICODES preferred.
  • US Army MOS 88N preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Knowledge of movement request procedures through Port of Embarkation and Port of Debarkation, ensuring proper MIL codes.
  • Ability to adapt procedures and operations for efficiency.
  • Familiarity with Army Information Management Systems for Movement and the Army Transportation System.
  • Collaborative work style fostering teamwork.
  • Effective communication across all employee levels.
  • Ability to prioritize work.
Certification, License & Clearance:
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
  • AMMO 62 HAZDEC certification required.
  • Secret Security Clearance required.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Active Clearance: Must have an active Tier 3 Secret U.S. Government clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance.

Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands:
  • Ability to perform duties effectively.
  • Work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.
  • Endure long hours, weather exposure, and hazardous conditions.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
Other Responsibilities:

Maintain safety culture, ensure quality service, and comply with operational procedures. Employees are responsible for training, emergency response, and safety committees.
