Overview

This position will be physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP.

Under the supervision of the Service Support Manager, the Marketing & Media Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising the day-to-day operations, future planning, and program development of the MWR Marketing & Media operation.

Responsibilities

This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.

  1. Works in close coordination with the Information Management department, other supervisors, Leads, and appropriate external agencies to create a comprehensive and professional Marketing & Media product for the community.
  2. Determines marketing techniques and develops strategies to increase efficiency and participation in MWR events and activities.
  3. Develops and administers periodic/needs assessment surveys, collects data, tabulates responses, analyzes data, and provides results to managers.
  4. Manages media support requests, prioritizes workload and staffing, and determines appropriate resource usage to meet PWS requirements and command expectations.
  5. Oversees graphic design, marketing distribution, and media production projects, schedules work, and prioritizes assignments.
  6. Provides program oversight for all marketing and media aspects, receiving requests from MWR managers, supervisors, and coordinators, and assigns work based on deadlines and contract PWS requirements.
  7. Develops and publishes MWR brochures, newsletters, and other print media, reviewing and editing visual information products prior to community distribution.
  8. Trains staff in graphic design, visual display concepts, marketing distribution, surveys, art displays, and other marketing requirements.
  9. Prepares work plans, programming templates, and curricula for use by facility and program staff.
  10. Reviews program plans and reports, providing program management assistance.
  11. Plans, develops, directs, and coordinates logistical support for multiple simultaneous program activities.
  12. Interacts professionally and tactfully with military and other agency officials, both over the phone and in person.
  13. Handles confidential matters in accordance with policies.
  14. Provides assistance, direction, and information to employees and grantees as required.
  15. Supports achievement of metrics, whether directly or indirectly influenced by this position's activities.
  16. Tracks and maintains information with Department Managers, ensuring timely production of reports and spreadsheets with a focus on quality.
  17. Works to achieve goals and contractual commitments.
  18. Manages and maintains administrative records and submits program status reports according to established procedures.
  19. Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required. College degree or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to obtain a host country driver's license.

Experience: Progressive experience in corporate or community recreational marketing, knowledge of marketing principles, graphic design, publicity distribution, and media production. Demonstrated ability to provide technical recommendations on equipment and resource allocation. Three to six years of experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role. Strong organization and communication skills. Must be a U.S. citizen, capable of effective communication in English, both written and verbal, with a customer service background.

Skills: Excellent organizational skills; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides leadership, supervision, guidance, and direction to a multinational team supporting the MWR mission.

Working Conditions

Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including temperatures exceeding 120°F. Indoor and outdoor environments with harsh conditions, including hot, dry, desert environments, and industrial settings.

Physical Requirements

Light work, exerting up to 20 pounds occasionally, and 10 pounds frequently. May involve heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing or sitting, and working with potential exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents. Use of PPE is required in some situations. Must comply with safety regulations and policies.
