Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Marine Site Engineer on a 6-Month Contract to oversee critical marine construction activities for a high-profile project in Kuwait. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine piling, AtoNS installations, and contractor coordination, ensuring technical compliance, quality, and safety standards are met.

The Marine Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising marine construction activities, ensuring technical compliance, quality control, and contractor performance on-site. This role also involves close coordination with stakeholders and enforcing HSE standards to mitigate risks and maintain project integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Contractor Supervision & Technical Oversight

  • Review and approve contractor-submitted method statements, risk assessments, and work plans.
  • Ensure all marine construction (pile driving, beacon installations, diving ops) aligns with project specifications and project timelines.
  • Conduct daily site inspections to verify workmanship, material quality, and HSE compliance.

2. Progress & Quality Control

  • Monitor contractor progress against the project schedule and highlight deviations.
  • Witness and document load tests, Welding and Painting inspections, and cathodic protection checks.
  • Maintain detailed records (photos, logs, as-built reports) for client deliverables.

3.Stakeholder Coordination

  • Liaise between the contractor, client, and third-party to resolve technical issues.
  • Attend progress meetings and provide actionable updates to the UAE-based Project Manager.

4. HSE & Risk Mitigation

  • Enforce PPE, permit-to-work systems, and marine safety protocols.
  • Identify and escalate non-conformities or safety violations promptly.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Marine/ Mechanical/Structural Engineering.
  • OSHA/NEBOSH, IMCA diving safety awareness, or PMP Certifications (Preferred)
  • 5+ years in marine construction (piling, AtoNS systems, offshore structures).
  • Proven experience working with/for contractors on execution-heavy projects.
  • Familiarity with marine equipment (crane barges, vibro hammers, diving ops).

Key Competencies:

  • Interpretation of marine drawings, BOQs, and GPS survey data.
  • Knowledge of welding standards (AWS/ISO), corrosion protection, and pile load testing / Painting.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.

Job Location: Kuwait and other GCC Sites (as and when required to travel to project site and client offices)
