Job summary

Advanced Search Group is seeking a Site Engineer specialized in civil pipeline works for marine GRP installations. You will supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of GRP pipelines in marine/offshore environments, ensuring compliance with project specs and safety standards, and liaising with QA/QC teams.

The role requires a bachelor’s in civil/mechanical engineering with 5+ years’ GRP/FRP experience, knowledge of ISO 14692 and AWWA M45, and proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years in pipeline installation, GRP/FRP for marine/offshore.
• Knowledge of ISO 14692 and AWWA M45.
• Experience with trenching, lamination, bonding, and hydrotesting.
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily pipeline installation activities for marine GRP pipelines.
• Ensure compliance with drawings, method statements, specs, and standards.
• Monitor trenching, bedding, backfilling, and jointing/lamination procedures.
• Coordinate with survey teams for route alignment and as-built verification.
• Prepare inspection requests, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure proper handling and storage.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and QAQC teams for approvals.
• Maintain daily records of progress, manpower, equipment usage, and material consumption.
• Enforce HSE protocols and assist in pre-commissioning activities.
