Manager Corporate Finance and Valuation
KPMG's corporate finance and valuation professionals provide robust and informed guidance on valuation matters across multiple sectors, deal stages and client types.
Role and Responsibilities
You will assume an active role on the below
As a Manager, you will have a significant team management role in winning and delivering on mandates. The practice focuses on key closely-related service offerings:
- Independent board advice / Fairness opinions Advise senior management and boards of public and private companies on how they can raise capital, prioritize market opportunities or consider mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures.
- Accounting tax and regulatory valuations Assist in determining the fair (market) value of equity shares, assets or complex financial instruments under accounting, tax or other regulatory standards. These include Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Impairment Testing, IFRS 16 support, employee or management incentive scheme valuations and recurring fund valuations.
- Investment / M&A advice and economic analysis - Provide timely and impartial advice based on advanced data analytics, benchmarking, modelling and valuation concepts for deal pricing, capital-allocation strategies, synergy assessment and strategic-option assessment.
- Venture capital, early stage and LBO valuations - Independent analysis and valuation of equity shares and IP to support raising equity or debt financing, including modelling robust financial business plans based on insights gained thorough commercial due diligence.
- Restructuring - Assist lenders, companies and administrators in the context of restructurings by providing valuation advice and strategic disposal options in connection with independent business reviews and independent valuation opinions.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute corporate finance and valuation engagements
- Performing independent valuation for financial instruments, businesses, tangible and intangible assets, equity and debt securities, for mergers and acquisitions, litigation support, dispute resolution, financial reporting, restructuring, and financial advisory
- Building and analyzing financial models and assessing assumptions and data which underlie the model
- Conduct industry research and understand drivers of growth within an industry/sector, identify relevant trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions
- Review and analyze historical trading, cash flow, and balance sheets to identify risks or price affecting considerations
- Researching and monitoring industry best practices on valuation models and techniques to ensure that the valuation practice is in line with industry best practices
- Assuming responsibility of deliverables and collaborating with team members to deliver solutions
- Leading content development for deliverables, including preparing business proposals and presentations
Practice Development
You are expected to:
- Work closely with other Managers, Directors and Partners
- Train junior staff and contribute to the overall skills enhancement and experience of the practice to build and develop a high-quality team
- Manage clients proactively, making client service a main priority and culture of the practice
Business Development
You will support the development of our corporate finance and valuation practice by:
- Supporting business development in both public and private sector markets
- Actively participating in responding to Requests for Proposal for advisory mandates on corporate finance and valuation
- Supporting positioning the team and KPMG's profile in the marketplace and develop business through industry involvement, contribution to internal and external publications, and presentation at conferences and industry events

- Comfortable working within a project team environment, producing high-quality deliverables, managing and motivating teams

Key requirements - what you bring to the role in details:
To be able to realize this growth in revenue and staffing, KPMG requires an individual who meets a very specific profile. This individual must have and/or be able to demonstrate:
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related fields from a reputable university
- Preferably MBA, CA, CFA or Master's degree in Finance or other related fields, from a distinguished institute
Skills and Experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is mandatory, fluency in Arabic would be a strong plus (although not mandatory)
- Minimum of 7-10 years specialized (post-masters) experience in financial advisory
- The experience should include significantexposure in a Big-4 financial advisory, an investment bank or boutique advisory firm
- Experience in building financial models, performing business and financial analysis, and leading team presentations
- Cross-sectorial experience is an advantage
- Project management skills demonstrated with experiences managing individual and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage business development, including through competitive proposals

- Demonstrated hypothesis-driven problem solving and transaction skills with exceptional ability to build structured quantitative and qualitative analysis; sound business judgment and problem framing
