Job description

We are looking for a talented and skilled Logistics Coordinator - Steel Melting Plant/Rolling Mill/Lime Plant to join our multicultural and diverse team in Kuwait. Operates weighbridges, handles by-products, handles finished products, handles billets, manages logistics, and manages data.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the customer is directed on the right warehouse gate for loading after receiving loading paper.
• Coordinate with crane operators for loading from the directed location as planned.
• Ensure the correct number of bundles are loaded and scan them accordingly.
• Ensure that the loaded rebars are tied properly, and in good condition.
• Ensure strict compliance of “first in first out” during dispatch and maintain an accurate inventory.
• Maintain daily dispatch sheet as per location.
• Responsible of weighing all internal and external transactions by issuing loading/location slip for scrap, mill scale, additives, blowdown, etc.
• Ensure weighment is matching according to dispatch, receiving or transfer of materials.
• Coordinating with other departments for any internal material transfer to SMP, Yard 1, Yard 2, RM1, RM2 and Lime plant.
• Follow commercial schedule plan for dispatch and coordinate with them for any changes.
• Ensure monthly weighbridge calibration is maintained.
• Maintain daily and monthly reports.
• Record all activities through SAP and ensure all reports are matching.
• Responsible of controlling/maintaining the billet stock and charging area in rolling mills and yard 2.
• Ensure billet stock availability as per production rolling program.
• Maintain billet stock area as per location and grade wise.
• Coordinate with SMP for receiving billets as per daily dispatch plan whether in rolling mills or yard 2.
• Coordinate with production for charging billets along with QA as per rolling program.
• Coordinate with crane/forklift operator for charging, unloading and other activities in billet area.
• Maintain daily and monthly reports.
• Record all activities through SAP and ensure all reports are matching.
• Ensure of receiving the correct number of prime bars or short bars and hold bundles.
• Responsible of shifting rebars/short bars from finished area to warehouse by arranging transport through transport officers.
• Ensure that the bundles shifted are added in the defined location as per grade and size.
• Coordinate with production for collecting prime bundles data and segregate hold bundles after QA release.
• Handling weighbridge activities in the absence of weight bridge operator.
• Coordinate with crane operators for warehouse location shifting, segregation, etc.
• Responsible of receiving, monitoring and issuing of office supplies, safety equipment, paint, etc.
• Maintain daily time sheet for labourers, forklift and trucks for billing purposes.
• Maintaining daily (cut off time reports), monthly and yearly reports.
• Record all activities through SAP and ensure all reports are matching.
• Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001).
• Executing Health, Safety and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standard, company and country rules and legal regulations.
• Achieving and maintaining company HS&E targets, objectives and preserving and protecting Kuwait Steel lives.
