This Opportunity

Seeking a full-time Flight Operations Specialist in support of LOGCAP V. Join our team and grow with us as we provide best in-class services that help clients solve their most complex challenges.

Your Impact

Flight Operations Specialist performs operational and administrative duties as designated by the flight operations coordinator to facilitate an efficient and safe flow of both air and ground maneuvers.

  1. Regularly monitor and inspect operational condition of runways, taxiways, navigational and meteorological aids
  2. Coordinate with the appropriate maintenance sections to ensure all facilities of the airfield remain in operational conditions
  3. Determine operational restrictions or hazards to flight and communication facilities and advise airfield management
  4. Identify flight safety issues including violations of airfield clearing criteria and hazards to arriving, departing, and parked aircraft; assess damage to airfield property; and monitor necessary actions to repair and reopen airfield facilities
  5. Coordinate with military, international, and local agencies concerning flight planning, training route utilization, flight movement messages, search/ rescue operations, and base contingency/operational plans
  6. Advise military and civilian agencies on closure of runways, taxiways, aircraft parking aprons/spots, airfield repairs/construction, and availability of airfield lighting/navigational aid systems
  7. Coordinate with airfield management regarding emergency situations on the airfield
  8. Perform other duties as assigned by the flight operation coordinator or supervisor
  9. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, instructions, and directives pertaining to airfield planning and design criteria, aircraft operations, and airfield management
  10. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
  11. Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  12. Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
  • Must have computer skills and be able to operate a variety of computer programs.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date.
  • Must maintain a valid passport from their home country with validity for 12 months from on-site employment date
  • Must satisfy and maintain CENTCOM MOD-17 medical requirements to include COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Must be able to gain and maintain authorized entry onto US military installations.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.
Additional Required Qualifications
  • Prefer at least two (2) years as an airfield operations specialist
  • Anyone who has held the Flight Operations MOS in any branch of the military
  • 2 years’ experience in airfield operations performing those duties noted in the JD.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Graduate of a US military air traffic control school or FAA Academy.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to pass Class IV Army flight physical.
  • Ability to work night and day shift in austere environment.
  • Some heavy lifting may be required.
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.
  • Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
