Job summary

Anton is seeking an experienced engineer to lead technical support and optimization of steam generation, boiler systems, and water treatment across heavy-oil operations.

The role requires 15+ years in oil & gas with hands-on field experience, familiarity with thermal recovery processes, and strong reporting and collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Reservoir, and Projects teams in Kuwait.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, process, water, environmental engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Significant experience in heavy-oil or thermal recovery operations, steam generation, water treatment, and utility systems.
• Oil & Gas field experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of boilers, steam-generation systems, steam distribution and injection, water treatment, and water chemistry.
• Strong understanding of boiler water chemistry, chemical treatment, steam quality, condensate management, and cooling-water systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, optimization, performance assessment, and technical-reporting skills.
• Knowledge of applicable engineering standards and HSE requirements.
• Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer or equivalent preferred.
• CEM, boiler, water-treatment or other relevant specialist certification an advantage.
• Strong understanding of heavy-oil steam injection and thermal recovery processes.
• Ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Reservoir, Production, and Projects teams.
• Field-based experience with willingness to conduct site inspections.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for steam generation, distribution, injection, and condensate systems.
• Optimize water treatment, boiler performance, steam quality, and water quality.
• Monitor system performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and operational performance.
• Troubleshoot boiler, steam, water-treatment, cooling-water, and utility-system issues.
• Review operating data, chemical treatment programs, water chemistry, steam quality, and condensate performance.
• Support technical studies, debottlenecking initiatives, facility modifications, and engineering projects.
• Review engineering designs, specifications, vendor proposals, and technical submissions.
• Conduct technical audits, system assessments, and performance evaluations.
• Support energy, water, and steam conservation and efficiency initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance to Operations and Maintenance teams and support multidisciplinary technical activities.
• Provide independent technical recommendations to support operational decision-making and system improvement.
