Job summary

Tabby is establishing a local Kuwait finance function. The Head of Finance, Kuwait, will own the books, reporting, and control environment for the country, driving a disciplined close and robust financial governance.

You will design the chart of accounts, close process, and statutory reporting, while coordinating with Group Finance, Tax, and Compliance. The role requires IFRS expertise and leadership in a fintech context, with fluency in English and Arabic.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACA/ACCA/CPA/CA or equivalent.
• 8-12+ years of progressive finance experience including audit/advisory background.
• Deep IFRS expertise with published statements.
• Hands-on IFRS 9 experience in lending/BNPL/fintech.
• Experience in regulated financial-services environment with regulatory reporting.
• Knowledge of Kuwait regulatory landscape or transferable GCC experience.
• Proven month-end close ownership with strong reconciliation discipline.
• Fluent English; professional Arabic essential for Kuwait interactions.

Responsibilities

• Own Kuwait books: GL, COA, close, and reporting pack aligned to Group policy.
• Prepare Kuwait statutory financial statements and notes to publication standard.
• Manage CBK regulatory returns and prudential reporting.
• Own external audit planning, schedules, and sign-off of accounts.
• Build and lead a small high-calibre finance team in Kuwait.
