Job summary

Saba Intellectual Property in Kuwait is seeking an IP professional to manage patent filings and patent prosecution for local and regional clients. The role requires reviewing, filing, advising on strategy and meeting deadlines.

You will monitor deadlines, coordinate prosecution and invoicing, and utilize the IPMS system to docket and track portfolios to ensure timely filings and updates.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, Biochemistry or Pharmacy.
• Experience with patent filing and examination reports.
• Knowledge of local patent laws and regulations; ability to advise on filing strategy.

Responsibilities

• Review and file patent applications; respond to examination reports.
• Monitor deadlines and manage prosecution and invoicing.
• Prepare patent annuities to maintain validity.
• Prioritize and manage multiple patent requests and follow up deadlines.
• Advise on filing strategy and prepare filings for local/regional clients.
• Maintain knowledge of local patent laws and updates.
• Use IPMS for docketing, tracking, updating and analyzing filings and portfolios.
