Job summary

KPMG Kuwait is offering a long-term IT Risk Consulting Internship that provides practical exposure to IT risk assessments, governance, cybersecurity, and resilience. As an intern, you will support engagements and work with experienced professionals.

The program targets recent graduates or early-career professionals with a relevant degree and an interest in certifications such as CISA or ISO 27001; proficiency in MS Office is expected, and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or early-career professional with a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• A basic understanding of technology risks, internal controls, cybersecurity, or IT governance is preferred.
• Interest in pursuing a relevant professional certification, such as CISA, CRISC, ISO 27001, or a related qualification, is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist engagement teams in delivering IT risk consulting and technology risk assessment services.
• Support reviews of IT governance, IT General Controls (ITGCs), cybersecurity, access management, third-party risk, business continuity, and technology resilience.
• Conduct research, data analysis, process walkthroughs, control testing, and documentation to support client engagements.
• Assist in identifying control gaps, evaluating technology risks, and developing practical recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings, workshops, and internal discussions under the guidance of senior team members.

About the KPMG Internship Program:

Our long-term Internship Program provides individuals with sustained, practical exposure to the IT Risk Consulting practice at KPMG Kuwait.
