Job summary

Zwayakw Interior Design & General Contracting is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to lead projects from concept to construction documentation and site execution in Kuwait. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative design solutions that meet high standards of quality, creativity, and technical accuracy.

The role requires 3–5 years of professional experience, a strong portfolio across residential, commercial, or hospitality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Excellent understanding of space planning, design principles, lighting, materials, and detailing.
• Proven experience in preparing complete construction drawing packages.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E selection and material specifications.
• Familiarity with local Kuwait construction methods, materials, and building regulations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts aligned with client requirements, budgets, and project objectives.
• Create mood boards, material palettes, and client presentations.
• Prepare space planning, furniture layouts, and interior design documentation.
• Produce accurate construction drawings for project execution.
• Select and specify FF&E, finishes, lighting, materials, and decorative elements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and monitor site progress.
• Attend client meetings and present design proposals.
• Ensure the original design vision is maintained during construction.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines and quality standards.

Role Overview

As an Interior Designer at Zwayakw, you will lead projects throughout the complete design journey - from concept development to construction documentation and site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative interior design concepts aligned with client requirements, budgets, and project objectives.
• Create professional mood boards, material palettes, and client presentations.
• Prepare detailed space planning, furniture layouts, and interior design documentation.
• Produce accurate construction drawings suitable for project execution.
• Select and specify FF&E, finishes, lighting, materials, and decorative elements.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site surveys, take measurements, and monitor site progress.
• Attend client meetings and confidently present design proposals.
• Ensure the original design vision is maintained throughout construction.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating completed residential, commercial, or hospitality projects.
• Excellent understanding of space planning, design principles, lighting, materials, and detailing.
• Proven experience in preparing complete construction drawing packages.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E selection and material specifications.
• Familiarity with local construction methods, materials, and building regulations in Kuwait is highly desirable.
