Job description

Develop lesson plans and themes in line with curriculum objectives specific for teaching Humanities Subjects to Middle and Secondary grade levels. Instruct through lectures, discussions, and demonstrations. Use computers, audiovisual aids, and other equipment and materials to supplement presentations. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students. Facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with students and organizing learning resources and the classroom environment.

Meet with parents or guardians, teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve any behavioral or academic problems. Attend professional development workshops and educational conferences to maintain and improve professional competence. Establish and enforce rules for class management and student behavior. Prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments to evaluate student progress.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in Humanities from a recognized University in US, CA, UK, AU, NZ, or South Africa
• TEACHING LICENSE from the same countries as above
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to pass an IELTS exam at level 7
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to deal effectively with student behavior issues

Required Experience:

• Minimum 2 years teaching experience in the subject area at Secondary grade levels
• Culturally sensitive, dependable, flexible, and able to work in a continuously changing environment

Monthly Salary Range:

TAX-FREE Monthly Salary from KD 725 to 1175 depending on qualifications and experience

Housing:

• Furnished Accommodation (1 or 2 bedroom flat) according to family status and size
• Utilities paid at QAR 300 for singles and QAR 500 for married
• Or Housing Allowance
