Position Summary
RJ is seeking a seasoned Government Contracts & Defense Projects Specialist to drive U.S. federal and military contracting efforts in Kuwait. This is not a conventional business development role—we’re looking for a strategic partner who knows how to open doors, build alliances, and win defense-related contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and bid on opportunities via SAM.gov, SubNet, DLA, LOGCAP, etc.
- Lead RFI/RFP submissions with internal technical teams
- Represent RJ to U.S. Army procurement officers and prime contractors (KBR, Vectrus, Amentum, Fluor)
- Negotiate subcontracts and build strategic partnerships
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS
- Attend defense events and maintain accurate records
Skills
- 10+ years in U.S. government or DoD/Army contracting (Kuwait experience is a must; experience with similar MoD contracts in the Gulf area is preferred)
- Proven track record of awarded contracts
- Knowledge of FAR/DFARS, FFP, IDIQ
- Strong relationships at Camp Arifjan, Camp Buehring, KNB
- Skilled in SAM.gov, WAWF, PIEE, FPDS, NCAGE, UEI
- PMP or NCMA (CPCM) preferred
- Fluent in English; Arabic is a plus
