A leading company in Kuwait is seeking a Generator Service Technician responsible for mechanical maintenance and fault finding on generators and related equipment. The ideal candidate has a diploma from an Industrial Training Centre, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. The role requires strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail, ensuring compliance with safety measures and workshop policies. Carry out mechanical maintenance, fault finding and monitoring of the generators and other
related equipment and carry out the tasks assigned from service to engine overhaul, especially on
Caterpillar, Cummins, Kirloskar etc. Ensure that all preventive maintenance is conducted as
defined by the supervisor. Maintains all mechanical/electrical systems with drafting and submitting
reports to the maintenance supervisor while delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that
work is in accordance with relevant codes.

• Adhere to workshop polices, process, procedures as mentioned on operations polices &
procedures manual and direct manager instructions.
• Ensure that company requirements of equipment/ items are process in most cost effective
and economical and timely manner within the framework of defined company polices
Report any non-compliance operations.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing generators and completing
preventive maintenance.
Maintains functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections;
repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions;
replacing parts and components.
Verifies generators serviceability by conducting tests, adjusting controls and systems as
per standards.
Maintaining safe and clean shops by removing parts and tools from work areas and
adhering to safety protocols.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical
publications.
Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as
needed.
Skills
Knowledge of Generator mechanics
Diagnostics and troubleshooting skills – this role requires strong diagnostic skills, some
exposure to using on-board diagnostic (OBD) technologies, and the ability to identify
mechanical issues to ensure that repairs are successful
JOB DESCRIPTION

mechanics and assistants, so team collaboration and leadership are vital in this role.
Attention to detail – workers in this role should also possess a high level of attention to
detail to ensure that they correctly diagnose mechanical or electrical issues for Generators
