American International University (AIU), Kuwait offers American style education, degrees, and majors to educate and serve the people of Kuwait as well as international students. The School of Engineering offers degrees in civil engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, and biomedical engineering. More programs at undergraduate and graduate levels may be offered in the future.

The Dean reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is expected to sit in on all academic meetings and be involved in other bodies as appropriate. AIU is a developing university with very dynamic features; it is expected that the school dean will take part in the university development.

AIU is a new institution of higher education in Kuwait with the first student cohort admitted in fall 2019. It is a private, co-educational institution offering undergraduate degrees based on the American model of higher education. Through its educational programs, the College serves the intellectual, cultural, and personal growth of all members of its community.
