Job summary

Benchmark Fitout in Kuwait City is seeking a full-time Fit-out Engineer to supervise interior fit-out activities on-site. You will ensure work aligns with approved drawings, specifications, budgets, and safety standards, coordinating with contractors and suppliers.

You will review technical designs, prepare material take-offs, monitor progress, conduct site inspections, and report status to project managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Interior Engineering.
• Experience in site supervision and coordination with contractors.
• Knowledge of construction materials and high-end finishings.
• Understanding of local building codes and safety standards in Kuwait/GCC.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork on-site.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Fit-out Engineer role based in Kuwait City. The Fit-out Engineer will coordinate and supervise interior fit-out activities, ensuring work is executed according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing technical designs, preparing material take-offs, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and monitoring progress to meet project timelines and budgets. The role involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, supporting approvals and permissions processes, and preparing regular status reports. The Fit-out Engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and other engineering disciplines to deliver high-quality finishes and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in fit-out engineering, including reading and interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
• Experience in site supervision, coordination with contractors, and quality control for interior fit-out projects.
• Knowledge of construction materials, finishes, and installation methods relevant to high-end interiors.
• Familiarity with project scheduling, cost monitoring, and basic quantity estimation for fit-out works.
• Understanding of local building codes, safety standards, and approval processes in Kuwait or the GCC region.
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office; project management tools are an advantage).
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Engineering, or a related field.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work on-site and manage multiple tasks.
• Prior experience in commercial, retail, or residential high-end fit-out projects is highly beneficial.
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to delivering projects on time and to agreed quality standards.
