Job Purpose
To oversee core banking systems and provide IT support for business process improvement initiatives, including analyzing current processes and designing new, efficient workflows.
Generic Accountabilities
- Corporate Governance and Compliance: Work fully within risk policies and procedures and compliance regulations to ensure all divisional activities adhere to corporate governance & regulatory/legal frameworks.
- Policies & Processes: Develop, implement, and regularly review policies and procedures to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Risk Management: Collaborate with Risk Management to ensure the function operates within set frameworks, proactively monitor, and report on risk exposure to enhance control effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with ABK's regulations and standards.
Specific Accountabilities
- Requirements Management: Define and manage requirements for core banking applications, prepare specifications, and align applications with business needs.
- Parameter Maintenance: Maintain and configure parameters for the Finacle core banking system, serve as the primary contact for queries, ensure version control, and collaborate with functional teams to resolve issues.
- Solution Management: Identify or source applications that meet user specifications, are cost-effective, and compatible with existing systems.
- Testing and Development: Conduct application testing with users, perform risk assessments, and prepare rollout programs.
- Rollout Management: Oversee the implementation of solutions, manage project timelines, communication, and training to ensure successful adoption.
- Sourcing and Supplier Management: Manage sourcing of applications, foster relationships with suppliers and consultants for optimal delivery.
- Business Relationship Management: Engage proactively with business units to identify needs, address concerns, and provide updates to IT and stakeholders.
Job Success Factors
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certification/experience.
- Experience: Minimum 9 years of IT experience, with system operations and development experience in the banking sector.
- Development Experience: Proficiency in major technologies.
- Skills: Project management, risk management awareness, IT performance, and quality management techniques.
