POSITION SUMMARY: Our events aim to create memorable experiences. The Event Service Expert is skilled in a wide range of event functions and is responsible for ensuring the event is well-executed from start to finish, including setup, breakdown, transport of supplies, taking orders, and guest interactions.
This role emphasizes safety, adherence to company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and maintaining professional uniform, personal appearance, and communications. Additional reasonable duties may be assigned as requested to ensure guest satisfaction and business success.

Core Work Activities
- General Food and Beverage Services: Follow procedures for serving alcohol, communicate additional meal requirements and special requests to the kitchen; set tables according to event type and service standards with appropriate linens, glassware, wares, and utensils; perform other reasonable duties as requested.
- Banquet Room Set-up: Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations; set up tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables, and cordial carts according to company standards; operate AV, projection, lighting, and conferencing equipment and ensure functionality before use; become familiar with function room locations and various setup styles (school, theatre, conference, U-shape, banquet, buffets).
- Service Operations: Set up and handle tables (round, rectangular, buffet); service, breakdown, and cleaning of event areas; ensure equipment and furniture are handled with care; banquets room bussing, cleaning, and monitoring tableware for cleanliness and presentation; manage AV equipment post-event.
- Banquets: Respond to special banquet arrangements, replenish buffet items for consistency, and assist guests with AV equipment and Internet usage; handle post-event closing duties and secure all items and areas.
- Steps of Service: Check guest satisfaction with each course and beverage; maintain cleanliness and proper crumb management during service.
- General Closing: Secure all liquors and storage areas; complete closing duties, store reusable goods, clean equipment, and lock up as required.
- Guest Relations & Communication: Welcome guests, address service needs professionally and promptly, listen to questions and concerns, and communicate effectively with guests and team members; anticipate guest needs and engage guests about services and local offerings.
- Working with Others: Maintain teamwork, be in uniform and ready on time, attend trainings, handle sensitive issues with tact, and develop positive cross-department relationships.
- Quality Assurance: Comply with QA expectations and brand standards (e.g., GuestVoice, Brand Standard Audits).
- Physical Tasks: Use computer/POS systems as needed; stand or walk for extended periods; lift up to 10 pounds as required.

- Safety & Security: Report accidents, follow safety policies and PPE usage, identify unsafe procedures, and follow storage/operation guidelines for tools and equipment.
- Policies & Procedures: Protect guest and coworker privacy, maintain uniform and appearance standards, secure company assets, and uphold confidentiality; comply with quality standards.
- Guest Relations: Greet guests warmly, address service needs professionally, listen and respond to questions, and ensure proper place settings and attentive service.
