Job summary

V2X is seeking an experienced Environmental, Safety and Health specialist in Kuwait City to lead a comprehensive program across facilities. The role requires implementing behavior-based safety practices, ensuring compliance with federal and host-nation regulations, and coordinating with managers to reduce hazards.

The ideal candidate holds a related degree, 4+ years of EH&S leadership, and an active Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree with related experience.
• 4+ years EH&S experience with leadership.
• Experience in behavior-based safety and environmental compliance.
• Experience with customer-service oriented organizations.
• Knowledge of OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001 management systems.
• Familiarity with DOD, Army, EPA and Federal regs.

Versatile, self-starting individual who works well on their own, with very little supervision, to develop/improve a behavior based Environmental, Safety and Health program candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of Federal, Local, and Army environmental, safety, and occupational health methods, practices, principles and procedures to perform effectively; promotes a wide variety of training activities designed to achieve awareness of environmental, safety, and health hazards and corresponding preventive procedures; on a recurring basis, inspect facilities and organizations to cite legal violations, recommend corrective actions, and insure that hazardous conditions are eliminated. Works with managers, supervisors, leads, and officials to eliminate or control hazardous operations or conditions. Program: OMDAC-SWACA This position offers company-paid housing and transportation, a completion bonus and tuition reimbursement program! You must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country to include but not limited to the ability to obtain and maintain a host nation visa and host nation driver s license in order to be qualified for this position.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Requires an active Secret Clearance
• One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
• Bachelor s degree in environmental, safety, health or related discipline is preferred; or combination of Associate degree with two years experience.
• One year of related academic study above the high school level may be substituted for one year of experience up to a maximum of a 4-year bachelor's degree for three years general experience.
• At least four years experience as environmental, safety, and health specialist with two years in a leadership position
• Experience in a behavior-based safety and environmental compliance program
• Experience with a customer service-oriented company.
• Working knowledge of management systems such as OHSAS 18001 or ISO 14001
• Familiarity with DOD, Army, EPA, and Federal regulations.
• Military background and training is beneficial.
