Position Summary

Respond and attend to guest repair requests. Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues with little to no supervision. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Ensure effective communication of daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication standards.

Display advanced ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics related to plumbing and HVAC. Demonstrate above-average engineering operations skills and strong general mechanical ability. Proficiency in at least three categories such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, or general building management. Basic skills in remaining categories.

Perform complex repairs on physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with standards and codes. Troubleshoot and repair various equipment including pumps, motors, plumbing, electrical systems, and more. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance. Utilize engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance and energy management. Conduct advanced troubleshooting of hotel MEP systems and mentor other engineers. Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds.

Follow all safety policies and procedures; report hazards and incidents; complete safety training. Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets. Provide excellent guest service, support team goals, and communicate professionally. Lift objects up to 50 pounds, move safely, and perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. with vocational training.
• Extensive experience in maintenance, electrical, or refrigeration, with parts management experience.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid Driver’s License.
