Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair electrical switch gear, power cabling and transformers up to the point of connection to local utilities.
• Inspect, operate, maintain, and repair electrical distribution at voltages ranging from 120 V to 11 KV.
• Mark all electrical equipment, motors, and panel boxes to meet the requirements of the National Electrical Code.
• Use technical orders, manufacturer’s handbooks, local procedures, codes and directives to install, repair equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Advise on, diagnose, and repair electrical power distribution and special purpose electrical system installation malfunctions.
• Complete and maintain records and inspection reports.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean, orderly, and safe.
• Follow all OSHA and NFPA safety requirements.
• Properly utilize and safeguard all government property provided for contractor use.
• Complete required training in compliance with Vectrus, OSHA, and United States Air Force requirements.
• Accurately report time and complete timesheets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements

• Work will be indoors and outdoors.
• Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur.
• Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs.
• Comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published company work rules and written instructions.
• Task‑specific work environment training will be provided as required.
• Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U.S. interests.
• 100% overseas assignment.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Education/Certifications: One‑year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if a degree is required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hold a degree or certification in Electrical Engineering.
• Current, valid U.S. passport.
• Valid U.S. secret security clearance prior to deployment.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to drive with a manual transmission.
• Capability of obtaining an Air Force flight line driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a flight line access test and obtain a flight line access badge.
• Pass employment and deployment qualification requirements, including psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
• Successful completion of online and hands‑on CBRN defense training, including fit testing of DoD protective gear.

Experience

• Minimum three years of electrical/power production experience and capability to interpret and follow blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Detail oriented with strong manual dexterity and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to work long periods to meet mission requirements.
• Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge of government contracts preferred.
