Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical design and analysis for port/industrial infra.
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, electrical safety standards, and local codes.
• Proficiency with CAD software and electrical design tools like AutoCAD/ETAP.
• Experience with SCADA systems and industrial control systems.
• Solid understanding of PLC programming and automation systems.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Engineer to join our team in Kuwait. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems that support our port and terminal infrastructure operations. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure all electrical systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with international and local regulations. • Design and develop electrical systems for port terminals, including power distribution networks, lighting systems, and control systems
• Conduct comprehensive electrical audits and safety inspections to ensure compliance with IEC standards and local Kuwait electrical codes
• Analyze electrical system performance and identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and system failures, implementing corrective actions in a timely manner
• Prepare detailed technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and maintenance reports
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and operational teams to ensure successful project execution
• Monitor electrical system performance using SCADA and other monitoring tools to ensure optimal operation
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Support the evaluation and implementation of renewable energy solutions for port infrastructure

What do we need from you

• Proven experience in electrical systems design and analysis, preferably in port, terminal, or industrial infrastructure environments
• Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, electrical safety standards, and electrical codes (IEC, local regulations)
• Proficiency with CAD software and electrical design tools
• Experience with SCADA systems and industrial control systems
• Solid understanding of PLC programming and automation systems
• Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance planning and execution
• Familiarity with port and terminal operations is highly desirable
• Experience with renewable energy systems and sustainable electrical solutions is preferred
