Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To

The System Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems, servers, and networks. The role involves ensuring the performance, security, and availability of IT systems and services to meet the operational needs of the organization.

  1. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware.
  2. Set up and manage servers, networks, and other IT infrastructure components.
  3. Configure system security settings and ensure compliance with company policies.
  4. Manage Windows Active Directory and Group Policy services.
  5. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
  6. Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches.
  7. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  8. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights according to best practices.
  9. Maintain system documentation and IT asset inventories.
  10. Manage and respond to incidents, including coordinating with other IT staff to address issues.
  11. Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
  12. Automate routine tasks using scripting and tools to enhance efficiency.
  13. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for critical systems.
  14. Collaborate with other IT team members, departments, and vendors to address technical needs.
  15. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
  16. Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders about system issues and solutions.
Required Qualification
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  2. Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSE) are a plus.
  3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in System admin role.
Required Professional Skills
  1. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and server management.
  2. Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and network security.
  3. Hands-on with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash).
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Experience in virtualization and cloud platforms.
  6. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
