Primary Objective

  1. Coordination of specified tasks within the environmental engineering discipline.
  2. Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the environment area, including the supervision of engineers and graduates.
  3. Ensure all work carried out conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contract’s specification, and is executed within agreed schedules, budgets, and procedures.
  4. Provide innovative and cost-effective solutions to clients for operating problems and capacity constraints in their existing oil and gas and petrochemical operations.
  5. Management, technical execution, and completion of engineering assigned tasks in a specific Environment discipline area.
  6. Assist project engineers in the coordination and preparation of input into contract documents for each discipline area, including design criteria, scope of work, procedures, and design approach.
  7. Liaise and coordinate with other engineers and discipline groups on the contract to effect timely production of deliverables.
  8. Manage studies and Environment-oriented projects as assigned.
  9. Develop and improve company standards and Environment design methods.
  10. Conduct technical writing activities, particularly the production of technical reports and operating manuals.
  11. Train and mentor new Environment engineering graduates to enable them to achieve professional membership.
  12. Quality Assurance – Work within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the Oil and Gas Business Unit.
  13. Safety – Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for the Oil and Gas Business Unit. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

  4. You mentor less experienced staff, including a ‘hands-on’ approach to formulating and delivering training programs for local Kuwaiti personnel.

Preferred Qualification(s) and/or Experience:

  1. You will possess either an engineering degree in Environment or Chemical and/or an equivalent diploma from an accredited college or university. This is an essential contractual requirement.
  2. Minimum years of total work experience post-qualification within the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry, with exposure to heavy oil projects. Upstream onshore experience is preferred.
  3. Minimum years of work experience in a related designation/specialty within a GCC country.
  4. You must have work experience within PMC projects in the above-mentioned industries.
  5. Experience with advanced engineering tools, data systems & other general office/engineering software will be given preference.
  6. Ability to interact effectively with people of all nationalities & cultures while using clear, fluent, and expressive verbal and written language to convey information and ideas.
  7. Broad-based knowledge of the requirements for process engineering through all phases of project life cycle, from FEED through to commissioning, within Oil & Gas or related industries.
  8. Demonstrated ability to lead/coach/mentor colleagues and/or staff.
  9. Ability to work under tight time constraints with excellent time management and planning skills as well as manage multiple priorities.
  10. Willingness to engage and manage clients as required by the needs of the business.
