Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented FEA Simulation Specialist to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing advanced finite element analysis to support product design, development, and validation. You will work closely with design engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams to optimize product performance and ensure structural integrity under various load conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform linear and nonlinear static, dynamic, thermal, and fatigue FEA simulations using software such as ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar.
  • Create and validate finite element models from CAD data for complex mechanical components and systems.
  • Analyze results and provide actionable insights to design and engineering teams.
  • Support design optimization by identifying potential failure modes, stress concentrations, and opportunities for weight or cost reduction.
  • Develop and document simulation procedures, assumptions, and reports in a clear and traceable format.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (design, manufacturing, materials) to ensure alignment between simulations and real-world performance.
  • Validate simulations with experimental and test data.
  • Contribute to the development of internal best practices and simulation standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in FEA and mechanical simulation.
  • Proficiency in commercial FEA tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, HyperMesh, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of material properties, mechanical behavior, and failure theories.
  • Experience with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Siemens NX) for model preparation and meshing.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fatigue life prediction, crashworthiness, or vibration analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, MATLAB) to automate simulation workflows.
  • Experience with multi-physics simulations (e.g., thermal-structural coupling).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials used in specific industries such as automotive or aerospace.
