Senior Electrical Engineer

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical systems in industrial, commercial, or residential projects. This role involves overseeing electrical designs, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, troubleshooting complex electrical issues, and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. The Senior Electrical Engineer also manages project timelines, coordinates with other engineering disciplines, and mentors junior engineers. Strong leadership, advanced technical knowledge, and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems for projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Conduct detailed electrical calculations, system analysis, and simulations for efficient system design and optimization.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical system issues during project execution and maintenance phases.
• Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and junior engineers, reviewing designs and technical documents.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, etc.) to ensure integration of electrical systems within broader project requirements.
• Monitor and review project progress, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
• Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC).
• Prepare detailed reports, project documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
• Mentor and train junior engineers and technicians, providing opportunities for professional development.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field; master’s degree is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in electrical system design, power distribution, and control systems.
• Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, SKM Power Tools).
• In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEC, IEEE).
• Strong project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
