Job Description

Responsibilities:

1. Strong Excel, Tableau and SQL / Python skills
2. Passion for converting data to insights, building frameworks for decision making, high attention to details and data fidelity
3. Developing workflow in Alteryx to simplify complicated scenarios
4. Ability to prioritize and focus on high impact areas
5. Teamwork and problem solving skills
6. Automating Excel reports into dynamic dashboards in Tableau
7. Communicate thoughts clearly with good verbal command
8. Attention to detail and ability to perform in-depth data mining with a methodical approach while understanding the big picture
9. Results driven with the ability to innovate and simplify current processes and practices
10. Effectively collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams
11. Perform data analysis, extraction, manipulation, and summarization on retail sales and financial data

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in IT or other analytic discipline, or equivalent experience
2. Technical skills proficiency in SQL / Python, Microsoft Excel, Tableau or PowerBI, Alteryx, and statistical analysis tools and techniques
3. 3+ years of experience in hands-on analytics, dashboarding, and querying
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to start from ambiguous problem statements, identify and access relevant data, make appropriate assumptions, perform insightful analysis, and draw conclusions relevant to business problems
5. Knowledge of retail and finance is an added advantage
6. Extensive experience using SQL queries and data visualization/reporting tools
7. Adept in understanding data structure, flow, and optimizing existing queries
