Associate Operations Analyst

Catering to Freight forwarding requirements for Alghanim Sahara Trans and its branches, the job holder will be an integral part of the operations team providing clear, accurate, and insightful business/financial analysis. The job holder will also contribute to business planning, be included in project work, and report on all operational activities like KPI, business volume growth, process changes, etc.

Job Responsibilities

1. Oversee processes across divisions and bring efficiency.
2. Prepare and circulate daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and yearly reports for management.
3. Manage and report KPI across all divisions to the head for efficiency and cost reduction.
4. Improve freight, customs clearance, and delivery flow processes by creating SOP & SLA.
5. Make reports for tender awarding after bidding processes are over on quarterly, half-yearly, and yearly tenders, working towards reducing landing costs.
6. Report on freight bookings of shipments regularly to management based on projections given and actual loadings, including business development and cost reduction presentations.

Candidate Requirements

1. 2+ years of experience in Freight, Supply Chain, and logistics reports and analytics.
2. A degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or other quantitative fields from a reputable university; a strong academic record.
3. Strong analytical skills; capable of identifying and interpreting key business drivers.
4. Basic knowledge of customs department workings, shipping lines, and freight forwarders is desirable.
5. Previous experience with Cargowise1 & Tableau is required.
6. Self-starter, able to work across functions and in teams. Results-driven, with the ability to perform on unstructured assignments.
7. Positive attitude and flexibility to work in a multicultural environment.
8. Fluency in English; strong verbal and written communication skills.
9. Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
10. Software programming will be an added advantage.
11. Solutions provider and quick learner.
12. Guide and train team members in their day-to-day work to enhance work process efficiency.
13. Good interpersonal and presentation skills.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Economics, Engineering in Supply Chain / Logistics or Technology.
